OUR CORE PURPOSE

Hausense is a well-being-driven company.

This doesn’t just mean we’re about designing for well-being—it means we’re deeply connected to the evolving needs of our clients and society. Hausense exists to revolutionize interior design, blending science with design to reshape how spaces impact lives. Our mission is to bring together the rigor of neuroscience, the power of business strategy, and the art of human connection to redefine what it means to design with purpose, intention, and lasting impact.

THE WORLD IS EVOLVING,
AND SO IS DESIGN

We’re in a pivotal moment where neuroscience, psychology, and design intersect, offering designers the ability to create spaces that don’t just look good but feel good.

Research shows that well-designed environments can reduce stress by up to 30% and improve cognitive function by 20% (Journal of Environmental Psychology, 2018). This evolution is transforming how we think about spaces and their impact on human behavior, emotions, and well-being.

IT ALL STARTS AT HOME

Homes are where well-being begins, as highlighted in the GoodHome Report 2019, which revealed that 73% of people who describe themselves as happy with their home are also happy with their life overall. The report also found that mental well-being improves by 21% when spaces prioritize comfort, light, and personal connection.

Our purpose is to empower designers to integrate neuroscience and psychology principles into residential design, and bring these insights to life, making well-being an integral part of daily living.

DESIGNING FOR BETTER

MENTAL HEALTH

For some years now, we’ve been witnessing a pervasive sense of uncertainty lingering worldwide, amplified by increasingly complex social and economic dynamics. As a result of this, overall quality of life in most countries has declined, with this trend likely to persist for some time. Unsurprisingly, this has led to a marked rise in stress, anxiety, and depression among the general population.

In this fractured landscape, us architects, hold an untapped power. We have the ability to design and create environments that shape how people behave physically and emotionally.

SO WE MUST DESIGN FOR EVERY LIFE STORY

Tailoring spaces to meet the unique needs of populations with autism, ADHD, the elderly, amongst others has become more feasible than ever.

According to the WHO Report on Disability, over 1.3 billion people live with significant disabilities, many of whom could greatly benefit from sensory-friendly environments. Research shows that such designs can reduce overstimulation and improve focus by 40%. Our goal is that designers provide solutions that pay attention to these numbers, enhancing both individual well-being and inclusivity.

WELL-BEING IS THE NEW PRIORITY

The global wellness market is valued at over US$1.5 trillion, with a projected annual growth of 5-10%, according to McKinsey & Company. Consumers are increasingly seeking sensory experiences that promote mental health and physical comfort. Yet, the interior design industry lags in addressing this demand. We aim to equip designers to adopt science-based approaches and be uniquely positioned to fill this gap, redefining their value and tapping into this booming market.
